The meetings industry in Torino and Piedmont follows the national trend and gradually returns to pre-pandemic results, confirming in 2022 the recovery phase that began in the second half of 2021. This is what the research presented on 13 July at the Circolo dei Lettori as part of the OICE national survey, promoted by Federcongressi&eventi and developed by the Alta Scuola di Economia e Relazioni Internazionali dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - ASERI.

In Torino in 2022, 9,154 events were held with 737,540 participants (equal to 72.0% of 2019), for a total of 1,057,148 attendances (equal to 76.5% of 2019), which generated 12.9% of overnight stays in hotels. Companies organised the largest number of events (55.8%), held in hotels (65%). 73.5% are local, 22.2 have a national dimension, while 4.3% of events are international congresses.
