For the first time, Italy is at the top of the ICCA - International Congress and Convention Association - annual rankings, the world's leading indicator of congress destination performance.
Thanks to 40 more conferences organized compared to 2022, Italy surpasses Spain, reaches first place in the European ranking, and ranks second in the world, only behind the United States. Our country is the only one, among the top-ranked countries, that has increased the number of conferences hosted compared to 2022, while all the others have either decreased or maintained the number. This is an important result, the outcome of a significant climb with which Italy, in just five years, has moved from sixth to first place.
Additionally, Italy is the country with the highest number of cities in the top 100 worldwide, seven including Torino, which ranks 78th out of more than 160 conference destinations worldwide.
