Torino has got EACR 2023, the 29th Congress of the European Association for Cancer Research, which will be held at Lingotto Exhibition Centre from 12 to 15 June 2023 and will attract more than 1,500 participants of the highest scientific level in the field of oncology.
The event, which had been confirmed in Turin for 2020, at first was postponed to 2021, due to the pandemic, and then turned into a virtual conference. Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau together with GL Events, which manages Lingotto Fiere and Oval, have resubmitted the bid, once again convincing the EACR association on the choice of Torino. The European Association for Cancer Research was founded in 1968 and today has over 10,000 members working and studying in the field of cancer research.
From 20 to 23 June, Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau attended the 28th EACR Congress in Seville to promote Torino and to say goodbye to next year. With a promotional booth in the exhibition area, it distributed brochures of the city and gave participants the Cri Cri, the typical praline with toasted hazelnut covered with dark chocolate, in turn coated with decorative sugar tiny balls.
