JUNE 2024

Designed and organized by Editori Laterza under the scientific direction of Tito Boeri, the International Economics Festival of Torino has reached its third edition. This year too, there was significant public participation in over 100 events held in prestigious locations such as Teatro Carignano, the Auditorium of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper, the Museum of the Risorgimento, the Circolo dei Lettori, and the Collegio Carlo Alberto.

The great celebration of knowledge, both economic and social, from May 30th to June 2nd, was titled "Who Owns Knowledge," involving every sector of public life: from businesses to commerce, from healthcare to urban policies, from transportation to communication, to the world of research and education. At the centre of the theme there was Artificial Intelligence and the implications that technological progress will - and is - producing on everyday life, study, and work.

Among the guests, there were three Nobel Prize winners: David Card (Economics 2021), Angus Deaton (Economics 2015), and Michael Spence (Economics 2001).
