The bids made by Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau to acquire WordCamp Europe 2024 and EAA Conference 2027 were successful.
The European event, dedicated to users of the WordPress platform, will bring 3,000 participants from 13 to 15 June 2024. They are both enthusiasts and experts, who gather to share their knowledge by discussing technologies, tools, services and everything around WordPress and the evolution of web technologies. The event will take place at Lingotto Fiere and will have an estimated economic impact of more than 3.5 million together with high media visibility.
In 2027, the city of Torino will host the International Congress of the European Accounting Association. The event will take place from 25 to 28 May and will attract more than 1,000 delegates, experts in accounting and budgeting, generating an economic impact on the territory of more than 1 million euros. The bid was submitted in collaboration with the School of Management and Economics of the University of Torino.
