OVAL LINGOTTO

Oval Lingotto was the centre of attention during the 2006 Olympic Winter Games as the venue where the Italian athletes won the gold medals in speed skating. Post-Olympics: the building is being used for fairs and exhibitions, while maintaining the option of use as an ice rink venue. Technical data: the building is composed of the main hall with a surface area of about 20,000 square meters. It is a large, easily-adaptable area due to its completely suspended roof that uses no intermediate supports. Oval Lingotto is managed by Lingotto Fiere, part of the French group GL events, a publicly traded company on the Paris Stock Exchange and a leading international name in the organisation of events, the management of expo hubs and the provision of services.
