There are over 3,000 participants at WordCamp Europe, the conference that focuses on everything related to WordPress, the world's most widely used free open-source software, powering over 43% of the web.
They are experts in the digital sector, core developers, as well as casual users or enthusiasts of WordPress and web evolution, who have come to Torino to share their knowledge and discuss technologies, tools, and services.
From June 13 to 15 at Lingotto Fiere, there are 45 talks covering various digital topics (AI, marketing, sustainability, development, community), 6 workshops, 5 WordCamp Connect sessions, guided tours, food tours, and numerous side events, social activities, and interactive sessions.
This edition of WordCamp Europe has also received the Patronage of the European Parliament for the first time. This support is granted by the EU to only a select number of European high-quality, non-profit events.
The Torino bid was presented by Laura Sacco on behalf of the Italian WordPress community, with the support of Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau.
It prepared the bid book, planned and organized the site inspections and technical visits for the international representatives, and is now managing the participants' welcome with the tourist information point at the congress venue, providing tourist items and special benefits for delegates.
This event will generate an economic impact of over 3.5 million euros for Torino, along with significant media visibility.
