NOVEMBER 2023

A fantastic 2023 is about to close for the meetings industry in Torino. Many congresses, even big ones, have followed one another non-stop throughout the year, especially in the second half. But now it is time to take a look at 2024, because next year important congresses are also scheduled, starting with the 20th edition of Connect - Route Development Forum at Lingotto Fiere, the b2b meeting from 7 to 9 February dedicated to commercial aviation that brings together delegates from airlines, airports and tourism organisations from all over Europe to define new routes and strategies.

In May, from 22 to 24, the Lingotto Conference Centre will host Lrec Coling 2024 - Language Resources Association. The conference will bring together 1800 international researchers and experts in Computational Linguistics, Speech, Multimodality and Automatic Processing of Language. At Lingotto Fiere and Oval from the 23 to 25 the European Convention doTERRA will take place with 7000 participants. On the same dates Torino, will host the European Championship of Magic, together with Saint Vincent, a unique event attracting more than 3000 magicians from all over the world.

From 13 to 15 June WordCamp Europe will come. This is the European meeting dedicated to the WordPress open source platform that will attract 3,000 participants to Lingotto Fiere.

In July, Pala Alpitour will host two major events with 10,000 participants each: the National Congress of Jehovah's Witnesses from 1 to 7 July and the International Congress of the Equipes Notre Dame movement from 16 to 20 July.

There is no shortage of conferences at the University and the Polytechnic of Torino, such as EUPRIO Conference - European Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education from 12 to 14 June with 350 pax and the 26th International Conference on Electrical machines ICEM 2024 with 500 pax from 1 to 4 September organised by Symposium, to name but a few.

Among the events of the end of the year there is Italy at Hand, the international MICE workshop created by Convention Bureau Italia  in partnership with ENIT. In December 100 buyers (event agencies, PCOs, meeting planners and incentive houses) will come to Torino to attend the 2b2 meeting and the team building/networking activities with 70 Italian suppliers. An important promotional opportunity for Torino in the international meeting industry.

And this is just a preview. On our website convention.turismotorino.org the entire 2024 calendar will be published in the new year.
